How to distinguish the silk?

1.Sighting.

• Silk is shining with pearl light and soft. Polyster is shining, but not soft and it is too bright to the eyes.
• Silk fiber is thin and long. Cotton fiber is short, wool fiber is short and curls. Polyster fiber is tidy.
• Hand touching: Silk is soft, it is very friendly to the people’s skin, it feels cool, smooth and comfortable.

2.Burning.

• Silk
  When the silk burning, it smells like feather burning, when move away the fiber, it will crush out naturally, the ash is black, frangible.

• Viscose fiber
  It is made of wood, so when it is set on fire, it burns fast, the ash is not shining. It smells like wood with chemical.

• Polyster
  When it is burning, it smells like plastic, and ugly, when move away the fire, it will still burn slowly, the ash will be a small ball, which is hard.

• Cotton and ramie or linen.
  When burning, it smells like paper, the ash is soft, black color.

• Wool fiber
  When burning, its reaction is similar to silk. By sighting you can find the difference between these two fibers.
